SSI Courses

The Student Services Institute (SSI) consists of three courses scheduled periodically throughout the year

  • Foundations of Student Services
    Designed for any MCCCD employee who would like to learn more about the foundational theories and best practices of the profession of Student Affairs.
  • Foundations of Student Affairs Management 
    Appropriate for any MCCCD employee who is currently working as a supervisor or manager of a student services department, or, for employees who are looking to advance into management positions.
  • Foundations of Developmental Advising 
    Designed for any MCCCD employee who is new to academic advisement or would like to learn about this exciting area of Student Affairs.

Note: Course participation must be pre-approved by the college's Vice President of Student Affairs or designee.
