On a separate piece of notebook paper, write a total of 15 sentences using the verb Be (am, is, are) on 5 different subjects.  You need 3 sentences about each subject (3 x 5 = 15 sentences total).  Write a mix of affirmative and negative statements.  Use a variety of nouns, pronouns, adjectives, and prepositional phrases (locations).  Use a mix of singular and plural forms.
For example:
1.  Venezuela is a country.  It isn't in North America.  It's in South America.
2.  Scorpions are insects.  They are dangerous.  They aren't welcome in my house!
3.  English is a language.  It isn't easy.  It is confusing.
4.  A kiwi is a fruit.  It is brown on the outside and green on the inside.  A kiwi is also a bird in New Zealand.
5.  An ostrich is a bird.  Ostriches are big.  They aren't friendly.
